๐๐ท๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐ธ๐ถ๐ช๐ท ๐๐ช๐ท๐ญ… That’s me folks. I am it, I own all the job titles in this wee business.ย
I was talking to my husband the other day of the madness you can feel as a small business owner.ย Back in the day, to let people know you were open for business you would pop an ad in the local rag, maybe pay for a page in the phone book, chuck up some flyers around the neighbourhood and put an A-frame out the front.ย These days, we are expected not to just put an ad together, but we are the whole dang newspaper ! Editor, publisher, columnist, marketing analyst, printer, distributor etc etcย There is also the side gig of running the actual business we are advertising; CEO, manager, PA, receptionist, admin, human resources, service provider and so on and so on.ย ย
Now this is ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ a sob fest, just a wee explanation as to why I am sometimes a bit off the social media radar
…there are moments when I truly am a phenomenal well oiled, business goal smashing multi tasking Mama machine but most other days I am a normal.
In my business, Clients come first and everything else comes after that, and this includes posting content. I am fully aware of the irony this statement holds in todays modern world. Social media consistency is key to generating new and maintaining current business, I know this, I’ve heard it umpteen times and I’m not actively trying to rebel against “the system”, I just honestly don’t have the capacity to be on all the time.
Some days, I really surprise myself, there are moments when I truly am a phenomenal well oiled, business goal smashing multi tasking Mama machine but most other days I am a normal. I am learning to embrace my normal, my abilities and their limits.
The last month has been wonderfully busy in every kind of role that I play. As a Wife, Mother, Friend, Doula, Wombie, Massage Therapist and small business back up; I am so grateful to everyone who allows me an opportunity to support them and I truly LOVE my “job”.
This week is big for me in more ways than one, I have milestones to celebrate and special occasions to look forward too … but more on that tomorrow!
For now, thankyou for hanging around, I truly appreciate your loyalty and to show you just how much, I have a reward for you.. watch this space!
